GCAC TO JOIN LITHUANIAN GOVERNMENT TRADE MISSION TO CHINA

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / May 4, 2018 / Global Cannabis Applications Corp. (“GCAC” or the “Company“) (CSE: APP, FSE: 2FA, OTCQB: FUAPF), a leading developer of innovative data technologies for the cannabis industry, is pleased to announce it will be participating in a Lithuanian trade mission to China later this month. GCAC will accompany members of the Lithuanian Finance Ministry on the trade mission with two main events: the China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services and the 2018 China E-Commerce Convention taking place in Beijing.

“I am extremely honored to join Mr. Vilnius Šapoka, the Minister of Finance of Lithuania, on this very important trade mission to China,” said Brad Moore, CEO of GCAC. “This is a significant opportunity to promote and showcase the strengths and capabilities of the Citizen Green platform on an international stage. I look forward to participating in this trade mission and establishing relationships with local government, academia, and business leaders for potential expansion to the Chinese marketplace. Our Citizen Green platform is fully scalable and offers significant medical value to the most-populous country in the world with growing medical needs.”

The 2018 China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will be held in the China National Convention Center from May 28 to June 1, 2018, and will focus on development and innovation in China’s service industry, including science, technology, finance, healthcare and other key service areas. Co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing government, it is supported by the World Trade Organization, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. CIFTIS is one of the world’s largest service trade fairs that covers all major service areas.

Cannabis in China has a long history with ancient texts referring to its medicinal qualities. While medical cannabis is still prohibited in China, local governments are taking steps to liberalize its use. Furthermore, China is the world’s second-largest producer of industrial hemp, the low-THC strain of Cannabis sativa. Its stems are used to make high-quality fabric, leaves are used to make pharmaceutical compounds, and seeds are used for food products and drinks. According to the World Intellectual Property Organization, Chinese businesses have filed over half of more than 600 worldwide patents related to medical cannabis.

As China moves toward a more liberalized market for medical cannabis, it represents a significant opportunity to GCAC. China is the world’s most-populous country, and like most large and developing countries it is struggling to control the cost of healthcare due to an aging population. Medical cannabis represents a real alternative to expensive pharmaceuticals used for a long list of ailments. GCAC’s Citizen Green platform can help make medical cannabis safer and more accessible in China.

Global Cannabis Publishes White Paper on Medical Cannabis Technology Platform and Token Economy

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, April 3, 2018 – Global Cannabis Applications Corp. (“GCAC” or the “Company”) (CSE: APP, FSE:2FA, OTCQB: FUAPF), a leading developer of innovative data technologies for the medical cannabis industry, is pleased to announce that it has published a White Paper on its medical cannabis Citizen Green technology platform and token economy. The White Paper is available for download on www.cannappscorp.com.

GCAC has published its White Paper titled ‘A Global Community for Medicinal Cannabis Users, Researchers and Practitioners’. The White Paper outlines GCAC’s Citizen Green information technology development plan and market development strategy for the blockchain application, mobile applications, artificial intelligence and token economy. Written by a team of internationally recognized experts, the White Paper outlines a set of solutions that creates a global, trusted and secure data ecosystem on medical cannabis product efficacy.

Blockchain technology was selected as the most secure and transparent way to record, view and transfer data submitted by the users. The combination of selected blockchain networks – Ethereum and NEM – ensures the highest level of data protection, immutable proof of ownership and the ability to monetize this data. GCAC’s mobile applications will capture anecdotal medical cannabis data inputs and use proprietary artificial intelligence and predictive analysis to validate this information against clinical study data inside of the CannaCube database for the purpose of establishing what specific medical cannabis products have a high efficacy rate for treating target ailments (see ‘Pain to Strain’ press release dated June 13, 2017). App users will earn reward tokens, called the Citizen Green Token (CGT), for their data inputs as calculated by the system analytics. CGTs will also be used to fund medical clinical study data from the GCAC treasury through a dedicated portal in the Citizen Green Community (see ‘GCAC To Participate in Medical Cannabis Study…’ press release dated March 28,2018). CGTs earned or purchased will be stored in an e-wallet, redeemable for medical cannabis related products. This enables an economically viable ecosystem in which users have strong incentives to share their data for the reward tokens.

“For first time in history, producers of medical cannabis products, regulators and retailers will have access to accurate and immutable data that is verified and can help them focus on creating medical cannabis products based on the extensive scientific and constantly updated research,” said GCAC CEO Brad Moore. “The use of Citizen Green Token crypto-currency incentivizes users to contribute and share their knowledge through the use of cutting-edge technologies to contribute to solve the key problem of helping put better medical cannabis products on the shelf. As a true utility token, the CGT crypto-currency is available to all contributors and users of medical cannabis data.”

Citizen Green Tokens provide a set of utility functions being developed by GCAC:

  • Access rights to experiential, clinical and analysed data stored on the platform.
  • Discounts on the platform fees that are charged to participants to access data and which are normally paid using fiat currency.
  • Rewards for active contributors and users of the medicinal cannabis data to incentivize quality data production.
  • Access or discount tokens for the services or platforms of GCAC partners, such as dispensaries, pharmaceutical companies and governments.
  • Exclusive access to certain platform functions such as personalized and artificial intelligence data.
  • Discounts on the purchase of medicinal cannabis products, which will be a key element of the rewards program supported commercially and technically by dispensaries.

GCAC TO PARTICIPATE IN MEDICAL CANNABIS STUDY CONDUCTED BY UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA PROFESSOR, DR. ALASDAIR BARR

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, March 28, 2018 – Global Cannabis Applications Corp. (“GCAC” or the “Company”) (CSE:APP, FSE:2FA, OTCQB:FUAPF), a leading developer of innovative data technologies for the cannabis industry, is pleased to announce that it will participate in a medical cannabis study on the effects of cannabis on mental health conducted by Dr. Alasdair Barr.

GCAC will support Dr. Alasdair Barr, PhD, in a medical cannabis research study conducted by the University of British Columbia on the effects of cannabis on mental health. The study will be applied using semi-structured clinical interviews with instruments commonly applied to clinical trials in order to investigate a population of people in Vancouver, BC who suffer from mental health issues and choose to self-medicate with medical cannabis. By using clinical interviews and questionnaires, the results of the study are expected to gain a more thorough understanding of the population that uses medical cannabis, including the frequency and specific type of cannabis cultivars used for specific symptoms or disorders. Medical cannabis can be used for a wide variety of different medical conditions, but the large majority of patients use it for its psychological effects, such as for anxiety, depression, pain and insomnia.

Dr. Alasdair Barr is an Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia with a focus on mental health and addictions research, using a multidisciplinary and translational approach that spans from laboratory to clinic. Dr. Barr maintains active programs in both clinical and preclinical research and has been published in over 150 peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Barr is active in the cannabis space and serves as a scientific consultant to multiple cannabis based companies.

“I am happy that Global Cannabis is joining our efforts to provide further information about potentially better treatments for mental health” said Dr. Barr. “Mental illness will affect more than half of all Canadians during their lifetime. Traditionally, mental illness is treated with pharmacological drugs that can come with unwanted side effects. Many patients have therefore started looking for alternatives to “big pharma” medications, and in this search have found medical cannabis to be helpful. Though there is limited research supporting many of its benefits, the role of cannabis in mental health is still unclear and therefore requires further investigation, as many epidemiological studies obtain only superficial data about current mental health status.”

States GCAC CEO Brad Moore, “We are honoured to work with Dr. Barr in his invaluable work on studying the effects of medical cannabis on mental health. The results of this invaluable information will help provide clarity on the benefits of medical cannabis and will enhance the data on the Citizen Green technology platform and GCAC’s ‘Pain to Strain’ model.”

(“GCAC” or the “Company”) (CSE: APP, FSE:2FA, OTCQB: FUAPF), a leading developer of innovative data technologies for the cannabis industry, announced that is launching Sanna, a proprietary built artificial intelligence chatbot, that will be used by patients to receive medical cannabis information and personalized treatment recommendations, while providing GCAC with valuable product feedback and patient data.

”Sanna was named to blend the Latin word for health, Sana, and cannabis,” said Brad Moore, CEO of GCAC. “. It was designed with artificial intelligence to deliver highly personalized and accurate analysis of symptoms, treatment plans and knowledge through an engaging user experience. Sanna uses machine learning and natural language processing to interpret and understand what is happening with medical cannabis patients in real time and provide them the best possible information on a global scale.”

The Sanna chatbot has been seeded with information from over ten years of customer facing interactions based on the intellectual property from Adolfo Gonzales’ highly touted Canna Help Deck  (see cannareps.ca).  GCAC has an exclusive intellectual property arrangement with Canna Help Deck.  Sanna uses proprietary technology and artificial intelligence to simulate a conversation via text interactions to understand a patient’s medical profile and provide guidance about medical cannabis and treatment options.  All individual records collected by Sanna are stored in a trusted and secure environment, and will be aggregated and processed through GCAC’s proprietary machine learning/artificial intelligence algorithm, which will continually enhance the accuracy of the results generated in future versions of the Sanna system. GCAC’s algorithm is patent pending.

Sanna will be made available in April 2018 in GCAC’s CannaLife App in both iOS and Android stores. App users will be able to ask Sanna about cannabis treatments for their ailments. These conversations will help users in their searches on CannaLife using its custom cannabis search engine to read articles, watch videos and create social posts. Users can share their posts in Cannalife’s Communities with other users and on their favorite social platforms including Instagram and Facebook.

Sanna will be available in Prescriptii in late Q2 2018. GCAC’s Prescriptii app which is used currently in the Canadian marketplace and is expected to released shortly in Australia and selected US states, will use the Sanna chatbot to record a patient’s experience with medical cannabis over time. Sanna will enable users to understand important longer-term medical questions such as delayed or longer-term responses to ongoing usage, monitoring the effectiveness of different treatments and side effects.
